Coating and Sealants
Expert Waterproofing
Dry Building Solutions has decades of experience in applying coatings and sealants to waterproof structures. We can inspect your structure and recommend the right products based on its properties, condition and functionality. Below are some examples of the coating and sealing work we do.
Parking and Pedestrian Restoration and Sealing
Any waterproofing treatment on this type of structure must be able to withstand wear-and-tear from vehicle and foot traffic, climate exposure and snow removal. It must also provide a durable, non-skid surface.
Dry Building Solutions chooses products formulated to perform as a traffic-bearing membrane, and with low-temperature crack-bridging characteristics to prevent water intrusion.
Expansion Joint Installation and Repair
Joints between concrete slabs can become entry points for water penetration. Dry Building Solutions offers expansion joint installation at the time the slab is laid, and repair or installation of expansion joints for existing slabs.
For waterproofing of expansion joints, we use materials specifically designed for that purpose such as a self-adhesive HDPE waterproofing membrane and hybrid urethane epoxy joint filler.
Vapor Barrier Membranes
To reduce the penetration of moisture and water vapor through the concrete slab into the structure, Dry Building Solutions can install a vapor barrier membrane. It helps to reduce fungus, mildew and mold growth. It can also help prevent radon gas from entering the structure.
Elastomeric and Acrylic Coatings
An excellent option for masonry walls that tend to crack and shift, these coatings move with the expansion and contraction cycles of a building. They fill in the cracks and openings, ensuring a water-tight and attractive exterior surface.
Dry Building Solutions uses elastomeric products recommended as waterproof coating on concrete, masonry, EIFS and stucco substrates. Acrylic coatings, which may be used to change the color on an existing EIFS finish, can protect and decorate masonry, stucco, wood, primed metal and more.
Penetrating Repellants
Sprayed or brushed onto brick or stucco walls by Dry Building Solutions, these repellants soak into the pores of the masonry. They create a waterproof seal and resist water intrusion, stain damage, freeze/thaw spalling, efflorescence and rust damage.
Urethane Caulking
Dry Building Solutions uses this caulking material to seal foundation cracks and prevent further cracking. We apply it with an injection gun to penetrate deep into the crack for complete and lasting waterproofing.
Sheet Waterproofing and Gas Membrane Installation
Designed for locations with high water head or the potential for aliphatic gases, Dry Building Solutions applies these waterproofing products to poured concrete or block masonry foundation walls. We also use it in elevator pits.
